    Group annuity contracts offered through a retirement program are long-term investments designed for retirement purposes. Money distributed will be taxed as ordinary income in the year the money is received. Account values fluctuate with market conditions and, when surrendered, the principal may be worth more or less than the original amount invested. Annuities are not necessary for the plan’s favorable tax treatment, but offer other features that may be valuable to you. The Participant Information Booklet and fund prospectuses contain additional information about the expenses associated with the investment options.
